By: Joshaf Smith

It is considered by the Database Administrators and users that Access is less prone to problems and there are less chances of corruption. But sometimes, when you try to open an Access database, you may get the following error message:

And it won’t let you open the database.
It is a very critical situation for a user or database administrator, because the database contains all of the important files of your business and work. Microsoft provided an inbuilt tool with Microsoft Access “Compact and Repair” to fix the database corruption related problems. But in this case, when you try to compact the database through the tools menu, it won’t compact and you will get the following error message:
"Microsoft detected corruption in this file. To try to repair this corruption first make a backup copy of the file, then on the tools menu compact and repair database. If you are currently trying to repair this corruption you will need to recreate this file or restore it from a previous backup."
If you try to solve the issue by importing the database, the error messages will be reappeared.
