Data Loss from the dual boot system
By: Joshaf Smith

Dual Boot or Dual Booting is the process of installing more than one operating system on a single computer, and being able to select which one to boot from when switching on the power. Dual booting becomes possible with a program known as Boot Loader.
Dual booting is helpful in several circumstances, like those where many piece of application programs need for different operating system and can’t be run on single computer. The dual boot method will allow you to use all of these application programs on single machine. Dual boot is also useful in case when you want to test the new operating system without completely switching to new one. Due boot allows you to get to know the system. It is very helpful for the software developer who requires more than one software for developing and testing purposes.
Sometimes different operating systems may create problems with your system and compatibility issues may come up with them. One operating system may not be able to place the file system of other operating system and therefore may try to format it to its local file system by erasing existing data. This happens generally when the file systems are on the separate partitions on one hard drive. Sometimes a system administrator must configure one operating system manually to ignore the other partition to allow multiple file systems.
Vista Issues with Dual Booting
on a system with both Windows Vista and either Linux or Unix installed, Linux or Unix deletes any existing points of System Restore related to Windows Vista during boot process. This issue is confirmed with the operating system but it can’t be changed due to the fundamental functioning of the software.
In these situations of dual booting where one operating system deletes the data or file system of other operating system, the operating system or file system corruption may occur and your computer may become inaccessible. These conditions can lead to catastrophic scenarios of data loss.
In these critical situations, you need for data recovery solutions in order to recover your lost data from damaged operating system or file system. You can recover these data with the help of data recovery software. Data recovery software are the special recovery tools designed to recover data lost due to logical reasons. In this particular case, you need to choose windows data recovery software as your data has been deleted from Windows partition.
