The bright colors found at the shows are likely to stick around for the 2008 summer fashion season but the colors and just how bright they happen to be for your skin tone will change just a bit. Jewelry continues to be a major component of accessorizing for summer with the wrist and fingers finding the most attention. A good solid bag, however, will need to be added to your closets bag section as traditional construction methods return with the same covering materials from recent years. Where shoes are concerned it may be time to call the contractor for a new addition to the closet. Statement shoes are the word for summer so you can really show your style at both higher and lower elevations. Vibrant colors offer variety Prints continue to have there place in the summer collections, as any summer without a print option would not really be considered summer. Tasteful, however is the word to watch as you go about finding that perfect sun dress or blouse. Keep an eye on going to far overboard and make sure that you incorporate a nice vibrant color, in moderation, into the print. Where the summer is really taking off is with vibrant colors of all varieties. The real key is picking a hue that goes with your complexion. The last thing you will want is to appear washed out, so choose carefully. "Blue bell" is likely to be one of the more popular colors offered this season. Going with any vibrant color is perfect but consider a few shades either way of the deepest hue to support and compliment your color. During the spring season bright and deep yellows and reds could be found almost everywhere. These colors will remain for summer but the pallet will widen for whatever solid you care to wear. If your closet continues to be supported by black and white, look for accessories like colored scarves or headbands to jump from the black or white. Flatly stiletto shoes The summer of 2008 will continue with the statement shoe. Make a solid announcement with your shoes that you are "in the house". Oddly, you can accomplish this task in summer 2008 from the opposite ends of shoe height perspective. Stiletto heels are back in full force and can be worn in any style or color. Generally, the consensus appears to be 4" although on the rare occasion destroying your feet with something more outrageous is always a possibility (if your personality can match the shoe). From the entirely opposite end of the spectrum, sandals have always been the summer shoe of choice, but in a more casual and laid back sort of way. In 2008, you will see the basic sandal transformed into something you may not even call a sandal, although it clearly is. The Greek goddess look is in for this season and uses the sandal in just about every way possible. Laced up the leg or wide strapped for a more casual look the sandal is going to be a versatile part of any closet shoe fiend. Clutch and go bags The bag fan will be in pure heaven during the summer months of 2008. Colors are king in the clutch department and can be used to complement the overall vibrancy that is being sold. Pick a material and size and it will work as long as the color matches the outfit. Where other bag types are concerned, all styles are still fine for summer 2008, although there will be a trend toward the more traditional hard framed bag. Prints or solids of any type are fine on this bag but the structure of the bag is toward being solid. A twist of the wrist jewelry Stripping down for the summer is an obvious must, but leaving the neck and wrist exposed is a definite no. A wider cuff and bangle it up is a must for summer. But remember that crystals and colored gem stones are there for an added splash of color on or in the bangles. Don't let the wrist have all the fun during summer 2008. Make sure that your fingers are carrying rocks of just about any type. Quartz appears to be a favorite due to its shiny but subdue nature. Swarovski crystals and over the top cocktail rings are very popular and found on just about every finger to be found So go big and let your fingers have some fun. Color and how you put it together is the concept to take home with you. Take a realistic look at your complexion and style and pick a few color combinations that work for you. Also, think about fall as many of the colors will be sticking around. The colors may not be as vibrant, but just as colorful and a bit deeper.
