How Can I Learn To Speak French At Home
By: NS Brar

Have you ever thought why people across globe are so much into learning second or third language, especially French?

This is because of its growing popularity and demand throughout the world. Most of the companies or institutions offer jobs to the bi-lingual or tri-lingual ones. And next to English, its only French.

This is the sole reason for me to write this article on how to learn to speak French at home. The best software program is the one that is interactive and makes learning fun.

1. Home language courses- You will find a lot of language courses specially made for home language learners. To name a few are Teach Yourself series, by Hodder/McGraw Hill, the Ultimate series by Living Language, Linguaphone and the lesser known, but excellent BBC courses.

2. Move step by step- Before moving too fast to reach perfection, do realize that you can even make really good progress in conversational French just by knowing 500 odd words and a few basic sentence constructions. Initially, memorizing a few key sentences will boost up your confidence and passion for the language and you yourself will notice the progress in you.

3. Audio or Video component- I request you that if you want to learn French by sitting at home only then please go for the audio component for each course and if the video component is available, then do not miss the opportunity.

4. Hire a French teacher- If your pocket allows then hire a teacher to teach you French at your home. Undoubtedly, this will be beyond the reach for most of the French learners but this advice is only for those who can afford.

5. Computer based language learning- Computers have completely revolutionized the language learning scenario, because they are far more interactive n informational than the ordinary courses.

6. Two computer-based options-

Investing in a computer program
Internet based learning

If you are really determined about learning French, then do invest in some genuinely good computer learning program.

7. Read French Language Blogs- For a fun-based French learning is to go for French language blogs.

8. A strong grammar base- A firm grasp of the grammar will help you to get hold over the French language easily, which will build your confidence in accurate and confident communication.

9. Practice, Practice and Practice- Unfortunately, so many people take a foreign language in high school or college and completely forget it after a few years. You need to practice it.

I have found such a program in which you can learn French at your own pace, at home, in privacy if you are embarrassed but it is interactive and fun. And its none other than the Rocket French.

And I am quite sure that if you are a genuine French learning seeker then you will go for this like I did. I could not have asked more than this!
