How to Plan Your Next Tea Party
By: Mayoor Patel

In order to have a tea party, you need to be sure to get everything in order. These are not simply parties that can be thrown together on a whim; they take careful planning and possibly reservations weeks in advance depending on how fancy and beautiful you decide to make them. However, keep in mind that all of the hard work and planning will pay off in the end. You will be delighted by the expressions on the faces of all of your guests when they find that what they thought was to be a simple party was in fact a trip to a whole new world.

There are two ways in which you can go about planning a professional level tea party. The first is to have someone else do it for you. In situations where you are unsure about where to begin when it comes to major party planning, it is always a good idea to consult an expert. You may find that an independent party planner will be able to provide the guidance you need on a consultation basis. Of course, you can always engage the services of a tea house, where most of the work is done for you. Essentially, you will need to tell them how many people are coming, if there are any food allergies they should keep in mind when preparing the menu of light refreshments to serve with the tea, and the start and ending time for the eat party. They will provide you with a place to hold your party, all of the food and beverages that you and your guests could ask for, and they will treat you with an atmosphere that you will not soon forget.

On the other hand, if you have had any party planning experience in the past, you are more than prepared enough for tea parties. Just make sure that you have all of the necessary goods that your guests will be looking for. Have sandwiches and tea cakes prepared, offer several varieties of tea from around the world (including black and green teas) and try and focus the theme of the tea party on something specific. Make it a tea party about fashion or gardening or home decor to really create an amazing mood. Finally, be sure that you send out a fashionable invitation to all of your guests at least a couple of weeks before the date of the party.
