Reflections of Effective Time Management

A lot of people have the problem of being late, and not only once in a while but consistently. They actually take time management classes to overcome this problem but it is hard to focus on them and the lessons they give since people already have a lot going on in their minds for example the things they still have to do. Once you lose some time the vicious cycle goes on and subsequently affects your whole routine. For example you have to stay at work a little late and as a result you get back home later than you usually do. You are tired and do not feel like waking up in the morning. But you have to wake up since you have to get ready for work, have something to eat for breakfast, and then mentally prepare your self for an interaction with your boss on something or the other. All this adds up to the fact that you have to balance a number of different jobs that are piling up every day and you feel weighed down, when you go to bed you are extremely tired and when you wake up next morning you are still exhausted, and you feel like you are losing control of your life. Time management techniques can be used to control the activities that are a part of your routine and take knowledgeable steps that will ensure that the time is utilized in the best way possible. Every one whether he is rich or poor has the same amount of hours available to him in a year, month, week, or day. What matters is how these hours are used. If time is used effectively it will allow more leisure time to pursue those activities which we want to do, such as playing sports, gardening, reading, dancing, watching television, or just relaxing. By putting into effect time management theories, you will be able to work more effectively in both your social life as well as your business life, and the effect will be dramatic.

One of the basic techniques of time management is prioritization. There are a limited number of hours in a day in which everything has to be done for example eating, sleeping, working, drinking, etc. the things you have to do are always more than the time available. The only way out is to prioritize the tasks, otherwise it will result in a lot of time being wasted and inefficient working
