Apple iPhone 3G - just look at the features!
On June 9th, a product was released that made fans of mobile phones and Apple lovers in particular, go bonkers with excitement. It'd been nearly a year since the first iPhone was released, and now, the newest incarnation was let out of the bag. It's set to be released, on O2, in July. But how is this new Apple iPhone 3G better than other mobile phones? Well, first thing... it has an amazing 3.5 inch touchscreen, meaning that all the coolest features and awesome functions are available, quite literally, at your fingertips. And what control you have, as the Apple iPhone 3G is only the second handset in the world of mobile phones to be built around the amazingly easy to use Apple OS-X. Only one other mobile phone can say that, and that was the original iPhone.
You may recall that there was a lot of criticism aimed at the original iPhone. Other mobile phones can outclass it, people said, other mobile phones do more than it. And then, in spite of the amazing interface, they were correct. Other mobile phones DID outclass the iPhone, although, that's will be a lot more difficult to do with the Apple iPhone 3G, coming soon on O2. The main thing that the first iPhone didn't have was 3G, and that was where other, more established mobile phones beat it. That's not a problem now, though, because the Apple iPhone 3G, as the name implies, is now one of the mobile phones that HAVE got 3G. And crikey is it fast, as it uses HSDPA, letting you connect to the internet at up to 3Mbps. As well as that, you have GPS, and we should all understand how useful and invaluable GPS is!
Apple iPhone 3G - is this the phone of the future?
After the all the hype, is the Apple iPhone 3G really the new hope for mobile phones? Is it ACTUALLY that important? I say it is, but maybe not in the way you suspect...
You see, the Apple iPhone 3G is, similar to its ancestor, flawed. It's not perfect, and whilst that applies to most mobile phones, with the Apple iPhone 3G, it's being hyped up as the ultimate phone. However, if you choose just ONE feature, the camera, you'll realise that in that particular field it's average at best, and at worst, total rubbish. In the present climate of mobile phones with cameras built in, that's unforgivable. With that in mind, if it's flawed, why is the Apple iPhone 3G so important? Well, it's simply because the Apple iPhone 3G, coming soon on O2, has provoked other mobile phones to improve their offerings. So, people like Nokia and Sony Ericsson are really battling to make up ground, and take on this challenger. That's why it's important: the Apple iPhone 3G is forcing people to make better mobile phones, and hey, that can only be a good thing for us, hasn't it!
