Transforming Your Body into a Well Oiled Machine
By: Dane Fletcher

It is a fact that every guy wants to get that admiring look especially from the ladies.

Well it is not so hard to achieve. The only problem is that the way to do it has been revised over and over and as guys get sidelined from the original training methods that were tested and true the result is that an increasing number face frustration over their seeming inability to grow big and muscular. There is a need to master the basics if success in bodybuilding is what you are craving for.

Tip number 1. This calls for the appreciation of the use of weights in training. The muscles grow in a proportional response to the loads that are applied on them. This means that if you decide to use a single weight in all your training the muscles will hit a plateau where they will be no more growth; the size will remain stagnated and constant. The best way to train therefore is to use the principle of continuous progressive training.

The crux of this principle is to actually make gradual increases in the weights that you use say every week. In addition the muscle will respond better to an intensive workout regimen. You should not shy away from intense workouts if you desire to see an improvement in the size of the muscles. Train intensively taking the muscles into overload and then relaxing them for adequate time periods.

Tip number 2. Every serious bodybuilder has at least the basic idea that the muscle groups are built out of protein and that it is necessary to eat proteins to grow and maintain them. This is a crucial insight because it will serve to advice you on the best nutrition methods that will benefit your training.

Make sure that your diet has enough proteins. They should compose up to 30% of the total daily calorific intake. Choose your proteins carefully. Yes, they may all be proteins but there are some like red meat which take longer to digest and as such they are not ready for the body when required.

If possible you can adopt simpler but equally beneficial proteins like the legumes including beans and eggs. If you must use supplements be sure to use protein powders that are available in fitness stores. These are easily incorporated into the blood stream and their effects will be felt in the short term.

Tip number 3. This is one of the most overlooked concepts of bodybuilding and fitness training. The fact of the matter is that muscle gain does not progress in a linear manner. What happens is that muscle gain is more of a peaking exercise. The muscle needs to be taken to the peak (overload or fatigue point) and then relaxed to consolidate the gains made.

The process must be repeated over and over and this will guarantee a progressive growth. It is useful for you as a bodybuilder to find the most effective training regimens from seasoned hands.
